Staff and Management

Pop's has been in operation for over 30 years, in what was originally Ubaneks Fish House and Pop's Tropigrill Restaurant. Since then, Pop's Sunset Grill has grown to become one of the most popular restaurants and night spots in the Venice area. We also believe that our success is firmly tied to the dedication and commitment from our managers and employees.

		Dave Lucas, General Manager Dave joined Pop's in 2007, kicking off his corporate shoes and putting on a pair of flip flops. He has years of food and beverage experience and is the "go to guy" for all daily activities. He has been instrumental in Pop's continued growth and staff development.
		Mandy Derby, Assistant Manager Mandy came to Pops in 2002 and looks after our busy kitchen. She also takes care of staff training and purchasing. Mandy originally hails from outside Boston and lives in the Venice area.
		Steve Palmietto, Bar Manager Steve joined Pops Sunset Grill prior to the purchase in 2001 and is a familiar face to many of our guests. As the Bar Manager, Steve keeps busy with developing Pops special recipes and making sure no one is out of their favorite beverage!
		Aaron Winfree, Customer Service Manager Aaron joined Pop's staff in 2009 as part of our service team and was recently promoted. He is now responsible for service training, updating our Face Book page, and continual improvement of customer satisfaction.
		Melissa Boothe Melissa joined the Pop's Sunset team in September of 2012. In her current duties in Administration, Sales & Marketing, Melissa supports our daily business activities and helps to organize special functions at Pop's. Melissa is a member of the Junior Business Community.
		Molly Blake Please welcome Ms. Molly Blake as our new Guest Service Manager at Pop's Sunset Grill. Molly has been a team member for over 3 years in several roles and recently promoted to her current position. Say "Hi" to Molly when she stops by stops by to make sure you are having a great experience!
